Course Synopsis

Presenter: Paresh B. Patel, DDS

This hands-on course will provide a comprehensive review and comparison of computer-guided and freehand techniques for the surgical placement of implants. Participants will learn to diagnose and treatment plan using CBCT imaging and the dual-scan CBCT technique with the full arch. Each participant will gain practical knowledge with hands-on, model-based exercises using both a tooth-supported surgical guide and the freehand technique. Grafting and preservation of implant sites will also be covered, and restorative considerations will be addressed.

Paresh B. Patel, DDS

Dr. Paresh Patel is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry and the Medical College of Georgia/AAID MaxiCourse. He is a fellow of the Misch-Resnik Implant Institute and a diplomate of the ICOI.

Dr. Patel has placed more than 5,000 implants, has published numerous articles in leading dental journals, and has worked as a lecturer and clinical consultant on dental implants and prosthetics for several companies. He maintains private practices in Lenoir and Mooresville, North Carolina.
